Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Utilities and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.15% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 3.13% or 1.65 points to trade at 54.30 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 2.33% or 0.39 points to end at 17.12 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 2.29% or 0.120 points to 5.370 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 4.93% or 0.4350 points to trade at 8.3800 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 1.64% or 0.90 points to end at 53.85 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 0.84% or 0.17 points to 20.18.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 76 to 66 and 12 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.72% or 0.37 to $51.15 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.86% or 0.42 to hit $48.42 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 1.15 to trade at $1256.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.15% to 1.0914, while EUR/GBP fell 0.18% to 0.8445.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 98.94.
