Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.84%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 4.43% or 0.210 points to trade at 4.952 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 3.06% or 0.2250 points to end at 7.5700 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 2.71% or 1.07 points to 40.49 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which lost 1.00% or 0.40 points to trade at 39.43 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 0.16% or 0.06 points to end at 38.52 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) shed 0.12% or 0.05 points to 41.38.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 100 to 84 and 11 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.88% or 0.43 to $48.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.66% or 0.80 to hit $47.44 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.19% or 2.25 to trade at $1212.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.0625, while EUR/GBP rose 0.60% to 0.8558.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 101.09.
