Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Services and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.70% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 10.45% or 0.635 points to trade at 6.710 at the close. Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V) added 1.95% or 0.21 points to end at 10.96 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) was up 1.85% or 0.44 points to 24.16 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 6.69% or 0.230 points to trade at 3.208 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 5.39% or 0.1800 points to end at 3.1600 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) shed 5.29% or 0.28 points to 5.01.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 94 to 86 and 5 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.05% or 0.03 to $49.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.26% or 0.12 to hit $46.06 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 2.43% or 28.60 to trade at $1147.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.31% to 1.0957, while EUR/GBP rose 0.06% to 0.7162.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 97.49.
