Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 4.30% or 0.235 points to trade at 5.695 at the close. Konecranes Abp (HE:KCRA) added 2.73% or 0.95 points to end at 35.73 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 2.28% or 0.51 points to 22.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which lost 0.90% or 0.28 points to trade at 30.89 in late trade. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 0.66% or 0.23 points to end at 34.40 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) shed 0.63% or 0.21 points to 33.23.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 83 to 47 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 2.10% or 1.19 to $55.51 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.88% or 1.01 to hit $52.85 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.88% or 10.85 to trade at $1225.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.38% to 1.0600, while EUR/GBP fell 0.45% to 0.8480.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 101.00.
