Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.67% or 0.1950 points to trade at 5.5100 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 2.65% or 0.106 points to end at 4.106 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) was up 1.55% or 0.62 points to 40.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which lost 0.58% or 0.16 points to trade at 27.30 in late trade. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 0.46% or 0.14 points to end at 30.11 and Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) shed 0.40% or 0.16 points to 39.93.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 96 to 86 and 9 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.83% or 0.84 to $46.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.43% or 1.07 to hit $45.12 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.95% or 12.55 to trade at $1330.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.1161, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.8600.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.23% at 95.75.
