Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.47% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 3.31% or 0.160 points to trade at 5.000 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) added 2.35% or 0.59 points to end at 25.74 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 1.94% or 0.65 points to 34.08 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 1.09% or 0.34 points to trade at 30.75 in late trade. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 0.86% or 0.23 points to end at 26.65 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) shed 0.59% or 0.20 points to 33.42.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 120 to 50 and 24 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 2.26% or 1.04 to $45.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.56% or 1.13 to hit $43.06 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.30% or 4.00 to trade at $1327.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.0986, while EUR/GBP fell 0.21% to 0.8362.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.06% at 97.35.
