Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE), which rose 3.31% or 0.75 points to trade at 23.40 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HEL:TIE1V) added 1.37% or 0.29 points to end at 21.44 and Valmt (HEL:VALMT) was up 1.35% or 0.14 points to 10.53 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V), which lost 1.29% or 0.080 points to trade at 6.130 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V) declined 1.09% or 0.07 points to end at 6.80 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HEL:NRE1V) shed 0.48% or 0.14 points to 29.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 86 to 80 and 9 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.00% or 0.01 to $63.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.34% or 0.20 to hit $59.50 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1172.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.54% to 1.1142, while EUR/GBP fell 0.37% to 0.7084.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 95.80.
