Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.46% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO), which rose 2.26% or 0.90 points to trade at 40.79 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 1.95% or 0.79 points to end at 41.38 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 1.80% or 0.47 points to 26.54 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which lost 2.29% or 0.63 points to trade at 26.88 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.55% or 0.0950 points to end at 6.0150 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) shed 1.00% or 0.19 points to 18.82.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 99 to 71 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.63% or 0.32 to $51.21 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.31% or 0.15 to hit $48.96 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 2.67% or 35.05 to trade at $1277.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.11% to 1.1199, while EUR/GBP rose 0.64% to 0.8790.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.49% at 96.12.
