Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 2.76% or 0.1950 points to trade at 7.2700 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 1.89% or 0.110 points to end at 5.925 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 1.54% or 0.26 points to 17.17 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which lost 0.58% or 0.12 points to trade at 20.52 in late trade. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 0.18% or 0.06 points to end at 33.73 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) shed 0.16% or 0.07 points to 42.93.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 80 to 44 and 28 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 2.54% or 1.29 to $52.13 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.80% or 1.34 to hit $49.18 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 3.92 to trade at $1231.62 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.38% to 1.0973, while EUR/GBP rose 0.28% to 0.8502.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 98.80.
