Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.37% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 2.94% or 0.73 points to trade at 25.59 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) added 2.19% or 0.30 points to end at 14.01 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 2.02% or 0.49 points to 24.77 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 2.50% or 0.2000 points to trade at 7.8050 in late trade. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 2.30% or 0.84 points to end at 35.75 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) shed 1.78% or 0.67 points to 36.99.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 87 to 55 and 12 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.58% or 0.31 to $54.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.34% or 0.68 to hit $51.52 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.96% or 11.25 to trade at $1161.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.73% to 1.0539, while EUR/GBP fell 0.73% to 0.8379.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.60% at 101.72.
