Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 1.28% or 0.45 points to trade at 35.65 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 1.19% or 0.048 points to end at 4.084 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 1.18% or 0.35 points to 29.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 2.77% or 0.2150 points to trade at 7.5350 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 0.90% or 0.07 points to end at 7.67 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) shed 0.27% or 0.09 points to 33.15.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 106 to 71 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 3.16% or 1.55 to $47.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 3.29% or 1.58 to hit $46.38 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.92% or 10.95 to trade at $1178.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.37% to 1.0593, while EUR/GBP rose 0.31% to 0.8505.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 101.55.
