Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 4.09% or 0.30 points to trade at 7.77 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 2.27% or 0.40 points to end at 18.05 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was up 2.00% or 0.080 points to 4.086 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 2.21% or 0.1600 points to trade at 7.0750 in late trade. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 1.26% or 0.70 points to end at 54.85 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) shed 0.83% or 0.26 points to 31.09.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 85 to 52 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.34% or 0.64 to $48.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.32% or 0.60 to hit $46.09 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 2.09 to trade at $1217.01 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.1384, while EUR/GBP fell 0.54% to 0.8810.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 95.66.
