Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Telecoms and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V), which rose 1.76% or 0.27 points to trade at 15.59 at the close. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) added 1.31% or 0.052 points to end at 4.028 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 1.29% or 0.34 points to 26.61 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which lost 1.52% or 0.125 points to trade at 8.075 in late trade. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 1.11% or 0.29 points to end at 25.84 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) shed 0.78% or 0.33 points to 42.02.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 91 to 83 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 2.13% or 1.12 to $51.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.87% or 0.97 to hit $50.85 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.30% or 3.75 to trade at $1266.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.38% to 1.0932, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.8920.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.41% at 98.27.
