Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 3.48% or 0.44 points to trade at 13.09 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) added 1.10% or 0.31 points to end at 28.61 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 1.01% or 0.042 points to 4.190 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which lost 1.14% or 0.056 points to trade at 4.874 in late trade. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 0.41% or 0.15 points to end at 36.36 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 0.37% or 0.10 points to 26.81.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 89 to 77 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 2.02% or 0.95 to $46.15 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.20% or 0.99 to hit $43.91 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.21% or 2.75 to trade at $1326.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.40% to 1.1264, while EUR/GBP rose 0.34% to 0.8533.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.29% at 95.26.
