Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V), which rose 3.04% or 0.32 points to trade at 10.84 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 2.11% or 0.072 points to end at 3.484 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 1.74% or 0.125 points to 7.310 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which lost 3.71% or 0.90 points to trade at 23.38 in late trade. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 1.77% or 0.57 points to end at 31.60 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) shed 1.22% or 0.056 points to 4.538.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 102 to 70 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.74% or 0.36 to $49.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.11% or 0.53 to hit $48.25 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.49% or 6.25 to trade at $1280.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.15% to 1.1338, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.7828.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.18% at 94.36.
