Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM), which rose 5.41% or 4.70 points to trade at 91.55 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) added 5.10% or 3.20 points to end at 65.95 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 5.08% or 2.38 points to 49.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which lost 2.39% or 1.20 points to trade at 48.92 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 1.47% or 0.21 points to end at 14.08 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) shed 0.34% or 0.16 points to 47.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 121 to 50 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.94% or 1.43 to $75.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.20% or 1.54 to hit $71.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.60% or 15.65 to trade at $2,614.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.26% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 100.43.
