Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 6.93% or 2.26 points to trade at 34.88 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 3.43% or 0.262 points to end at 7.906 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 2.69% or 0.70 points to 26.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB), which lost 0.11% or 0.05 points to trade at 47.04 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) declined 0.07% or 0.01 points to end at 6.87 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) 0.00% or 0.0000 points to 6.3060.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 97 to 41 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 0.57% or 0.37 to $63.99 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.26% or 0.16 to hit $60.76 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.40% or 5.40 to trade at $1352.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.2464, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.8883.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 88.83.
