Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.98% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which rose 3.41% or 0.31 points to trade at 9.34 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 2.08% or 0.23 points to end at 11.30 and Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 1.89% or 0.38 points to 20.22 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA), which lost 0.83% or 0.50 points to trade at 59.65 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 0.75% or 0.35 points to end at 45.66 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) shed 0.06% or 0.03 points to 46.59.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 99 to 68 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 1.51% or 1.20 to $78.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.52% or 1.15 to hit $74.39 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 5.60 to trade at $2,543.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 101.80.
