Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.89% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 10.45% or 0.696 points to trade at 7.356 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 10.24% or 6.44 points to end at 69.34 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 4.63% or 1.12 points to 25.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Valmt (HE:VALMT), which lost 4.12% or 0.68 points to trade at 15.81 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 2.72% or 0.1440 points to end at 5.1460 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) shed 1.65% or 0.70 points to 41.71.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 75 to 70 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.08% or 0.06 to $74.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $68.19 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 5.80 to trade at $1323.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.04% to 1.2109, while EUR/GBP rose 1.03% to 0.8786.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 91.43.
