Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.85% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which rose 1.82% or 0.86 points to trade at 48.04 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) added 1.72% or 1.05 points to end at 62.10 and Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) was up 1.56% or 0.14 points to 9.47 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which lost 0.33% or 0.16 points to trade at 47.50 in late trade. Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT) declined 0.31% or 0.08 points to end at 25.70 and Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA) shed 0.09% or 0.02 points to 21.62.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 117 to 48 and 23 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 2.23% or 1.72 to $78.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.38% or 1.74 to hit $74.75 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.16% or 29.30 to trade at $2,546.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.57% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.66% at 100.73.
