Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.84%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 7.88% or 0.55 points to trade at 7.53 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 3.41% or 0.2600 points to end at 7.8900 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 2.19% or 0.59 points to 27.56 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 0.40% or 0.14 points to trade at 35.07 in late trade. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) declined 0.17% or 0.04 points to end at 23.83 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) shed 0.14% or 0.05 points to 36.14.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 91 to 40 and 24 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.39% or 0.20 to $50.60 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.80% or 0.38 to hit $47.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.18% or 2.36 to trade at $1277.34 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.36% to 1.1692, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.9104.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 93.99.
