Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.81%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which rose 3.55% or 0.30 points to trade at 8.75 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.02% or 0.07 points to end at 3.28 and Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT) was up 1.98% or 0.48 points to 24.73 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which lost 1.17% or 0.55 points to trade at 46.54 in late trade. Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) declined 0.77% or 0.08 points to end at 10.36 and Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA) shed 0.40% or 0.02 points to 4.24.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 108 to 58 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.37% or 1.00 to $73.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.64% or 1.13 to hit $70.15 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.68% or 17.65 to trade at $2,591.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.28% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 100.62.
