Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.80%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 4.12% or 0.2320 points to trade at 5.8620 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 2.93% or 1.22 points to end at 42.90 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was up 2.89% or 0.93 points to 33.08 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which lost 1.03% or 0.38 points to trade at 36.62 in late trade. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 0.61% or 0.050 points to end at 8.100 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) shed 0.39% or 0.14 points to 35.83.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 89 to 59 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.91% or 0.67 to $74.42 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.30% or 0.21 to hit $69.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 2.30 to trade at $1220.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.34% to 1.1593, while EUR/GBP rose 0.30% to 0.8952.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 94.98.
