Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.79%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM), which rose 2.79% or 0.83 points to trade at 30.58 at the close. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 2.46% or 0.42 points to end at 17.26 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 2.17% or 0.21 points to 9.69 in late trade.
Biggest losers included KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which lost 1.03% or 0.54 points to trade at 52.00 in late trade. Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) declined 0.59% or 0.06 points to end at 10.19 and Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) shed 0.44% or 0.40 points to 90.75.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 101 to 66 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.35% or 1.05 to $78.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.53% or 1.13 to hit $74.84 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 5.80 to trade at $2,673.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.64% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.49% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 102.36.
