Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Utilities and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.74%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which rose 2.67% or 0.89 points to trade at 34.17 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 2.18% or 0.56 points to end at 26.27 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was up 1.69% or 0.34 points to 20.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which lost 1.95% or 0.88 points to trade at 44.28 in late trade. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 0.83% or 0.15 points to end at 18.49 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 0.79% or 0.22 points to 27.68.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 76 to 70 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.30% or 1.00 to $75.79 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.19% or 0.78 to hit $65.03 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.14% or 1.80 to trade at $1297.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1684, while EUR/GBP rose 0.49% to 0.8780.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 94.06.
