Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 5.13% or 0.590 points to trade at 12.090 at the close. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) added 3.43% or 0.89 points to end at 26.83 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 1.89% or 1.52 points to 81.82 in late trade.
Biggest losers included YIT Oyj (HE:YIT), which lost 10.10% or 0.58 points to trade at 5.21 in late trade. DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) declined 4.04% or 0.7000 points to end at 16.6100 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) shed 2.44% or 0.132 points to 5.268.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 81 to 66 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 0.59% or 0.37 to $62.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.81% or 1.00 to hit $54.26 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 3.95 to trade at $1318.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.17% to 1.1435, while EUR/GBP rose 0.10% to 0.8760.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 95.562.
