Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.37% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.56% or 0.12 points to trade at 3.38 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) added 2.52% or 1.50 points to end at 61.00 and Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) was up 1.87% or 0.17 points to 9.29 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which lost 0.45% or 0.02 points to trade at 3.73 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 0.41% or 0.06 points to end at 14.52 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) shed 0.39% or 0.07 points to 17.93.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 88 to 80 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.91% or 0.70 to $76.50 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.15% or 0.84 to hit $72.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.18% or 4.60 to trade at $2,546.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 101.08.
