Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Utilities, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 2.79% or 0.186 points to trade at 6.864 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.51% or 0.1280 points to end at 5.2200 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was up 1.21% or 0.24 points to 20.02 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which lost 0.81% or 0.28 points to trade at 34.42 in late trade. KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) declined 0.56% or 0.24 points to end at 42.96 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) shed 0.55% or 0.24 points to 43.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 70 to 60 and 28 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 2.27% or 1.73 to $77.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 3.46% or 2.44 to hit $72.97 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 3.40 to trade at $1256.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.55% to 1.1584, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.8813.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 94.81.
