Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM), which rose 3.15% or 2.55 points to trade at 83.50 at the close. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) added 2.55% or 0.06 points to end at 2.49 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 2.50% or 0.09 points to 3.52 in late trade.
Biggest losers included UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM), which lost 2.65% or 0.90 points to trade at 33.05 in late trade. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 1.53% or 0.26 points to end at 16.79 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) shed 1.19% or 0.18 points to 14.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 82 to 79 and 28 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.94% or 0.79 to $85.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.04% or 0.84 to hit $81.57 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 10.10 to trade at $2,341.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 105.17.
