Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 4.04% or 1.78 points to trade at 45.82 at the close. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) added 2.89% or 0.50 points to end at 17.80 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 2.64% or 0.23 points to 8.94 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA), which lost 1.09% or 0.05 points to trade at 4.36 in late trade. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 0.77% or 0.15 points to end at 19.21 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) shed 0.77% or 0.36 points to 45.65.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 85 to 83 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.37% or 0.30 to $80.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.87% or 0.68 to hit $77.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.01% or 25.45 to trade at $2,482.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.39% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 102.28.
