Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 1.93% or 0.36 points to trade at 18.70 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 1.70% or 0.71 points to end at 42.46 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was up 1.43% or 0.43 points to 30.59 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which lost 2.82% or 0.08 points to trade at 2.68 in late trade. Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT) declined 1.54% or 0.41 points to end at 26.21 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) shed 0.85% or 0.32 points to 37.46.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 94 to 68 and 27 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 3.02% or 2.36 to $80.43 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 3.49% or 2.61 to hit $77.34 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.69% or 16.95 to trade at $2,468.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 103.91.
