Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 3.68% or 0.350 points to trade at 9.850 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) added 1.84% or 0.64 points to end at 35.39 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 1.49% or 0.255 points to 17.390 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which lost 1.90% or 0.078 points to trade at 4.033 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) declined 1.52% or 0.08 points to end at 5.17 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) shed 0.93% or 0.0520 points to 5.5100.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 72 to 68 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.15% or 0.88 to $75.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.78% or 1.21 to hit $66.67 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.50% or 6.50 to trade at $1297.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.20% to 1.1627, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.8736.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 94.37.
