Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM), which rose 2.52% or 1.75 points to trade at 71.30 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 2.38% or 0.22 points to end at 9.63 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was up 2.24% or 0.10 points to 4.39 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 2.47% or 0.35 points to trade at 13.64 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 1.22% or 0.18 points to end at 14.19 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) shed 0.67% or 0.03 points to 4.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 108 to 63 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.62% or 0.46 to $73.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.76% or 0.53 to hit $69.41 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 5.81 to trade at $2,673.71 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 106.18.
