Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 3.43% or 0.61 points to trade at 18.38 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 1.58% or 0.88 points to end at 56.43 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was up 1.19% or 0.60 points to 51.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI), which lost 1.49% or 0.17 points to trade at 10.88 in late trade. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) declined 1.46% or 0.11 points to end at 7.72 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) shed 1.36% or 0.07 points to 4.78.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 97 to 71 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 1.41% or 1.06 to $76.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.58% or 1.13 to hit $72.60 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 3.05 to trade at $2,749.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 103.42.
