Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 2.76% or 0.160 points to trade at 5.965 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 1.99% or 0.70 points to end at 35.80 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 1.38% or 0.150 points to 11.040 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which lost 1.72% or 0.70 points to trade at 39.93 in late trade. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) declined 0.93% or 0.036 points to end at 3.852 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) shed 0.81% or 0.29 points to 35.32.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 83 to 56 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.04% or 0.02 to $52.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.40% or 0.19 to hit $47.62 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 5.19 to trade at $1297.19 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.69% to 1.1881, while EUR/GBP rose 0.04% to 0.9222.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.61% at 92.66.
