Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM), which rose 1.39% or 0.33 points to trade at 24.14 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) added 1.25% or 0.22 points to end at 17.78 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 1.03% or 0.55 points to 53.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Valmt (HE:VALMT), which lost 1.23% or 0.20 points to trade at 16.05 in late trade. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) declined 1.20% or 0.26 points to end at 21.49 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) shed 1.19% or 0.09 points to 7.05.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 63 to 58 and 32 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.93% or 0.53 to $56.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.11% or 0.57 to hit $50.73 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 6.70 to trade at $1295.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1843, while EUR/GBP fell 0.45% to 0.8931.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 92.89.
