Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 3.52% or 0.47 points to trade at 13.82 at the close. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 2.77% or 0.34 points to end at 12.63 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was up 2.43% or 0.10 points to 4.29 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which lost 2.32% or 1.19 points to trade at 50.07 in late trade. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 1.48% or 0.07 points to end at 4.35 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) shed 1.44% or 0.90 points to 61.55.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 102 to 63 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was up 1.94% or 1.55 to $81.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 2.34% or 1.77 to hit $77.52 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.24% or 33.76 to trade at $2,681.24 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.02, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 109.78.
