Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Personal & Household Goods, Consumer Goods and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 2.43% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk A (COP:MAERSKa), which rose 0.44% or 50 points to trade at 11540 at the close. GN Store Nord (COP:GN) added 0.36% or 0.5 points to end at 140.9 and A.P. Moller - Maersk B (COP:MAERSKb) was up 0.34% or 40 points to 11910 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Genmab (COP:GEN), which lost 4.35% or 28.0 points to trade at 615.5 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB (COP:NDA) declined 3.56% or 3.00 points to end at 81.35 and Carlsberg A/S B (COP:CARLb) shed 3.54% or 21.0 points to 572.5.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 124 to 26 and 10 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.14% or 0.06 to $43.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.64% or 0.32 to hit $50.03 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.40% or 15.50 to trade at $1123.20 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 1.31% to 6.6703, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4637.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.16% at 96.11.
