Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 0.96% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH), which rose 1.36% or 5.2 points to trade at 388.2 at the close. GN Store Nord (CO:GN) added 0.42% or 0.6 points to end at 143.4 and ISS A/S (CO:ISS) was up 0.23% or 0.60 points to 266.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS), which lost 3.20% or 8.3 points to trade at 251.0 in late trade. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) declined 2.59% or 240 points to end at 9040 and A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) shed 2.57% or 250 points to 9485.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 119 to 28 and 13 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.30% or 0.15 to $50.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.19% or 0.10 to hit $51.91 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.36% or 4.55 to trade at $1258.35 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.29% to 6.7381, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4390.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.36% at 97.64.
