Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Personal & Household Goods and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 0.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes B (COP:NZYMb), which rose 0.63% or 2.2 points to trade at 350.4 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (COP:MAERSKb) added 0.61% or 70 points to end at 11510 and A.P. Moller - Maersk A (COP:MAERSKa) was up 0.45% or 50 points to 11270 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Vestas Wind Systems (COP:VWS), which lost 3.91% or 15.0 points to trade at 368.8 in late trade. Genmab (COP:GEN) declined 3.04% or 20.0 points to end at 638.0 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (COP:CHRH) shed 1.58% or 6.0 points to 372.7.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 98 to 53 and 6 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.02% or 0.01 to $48.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.18% or 0.10 to hit $53.48 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.34% or 3.70 to trade at $1089.60 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.78% to 6.8456, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4610.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.65% at 97.86.
