Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Personal & Household Goods and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 3.78% or 410 points to trade at 11250 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) added 2.90% or 300 points to end at 10640 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was up 2.51% or 7.2 points to 293.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Genmab (CO:GEN), which lost 2.13% or 25.0 points to trade at 1147.0 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) declined 1.40% or 1.10 points to end at 77.60 and Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) shed 1.35% or 6.3 points to 459.4.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 70 to 51 and 15 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.93% or 1.02 to $51.96 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.60% or 0.89 to hit $54.83 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.55% or 6.35 to trade at $1165.35 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.38% to 6.9719, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4358.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 100.80.
