Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 1.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT), which rose 4.00% or 10.80 points to trade at 280.60 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) added 2.74% or 5.60 points to end at 210.00 and Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) was up 2.18% or 2.40 points to 110.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which lost 3.89% or 475.00 points to trade at 11,725.00 in late trade. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) declined 3.64% or 430.00 points to end at 11,370.00 and Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED) shed 3.22% or 11.00 points to 330.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 91 to 43 and 16 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.45% or 0.33 to $73.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.51% or 0.39 to hit $76.69 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 16.81 to trade at $2,664.21 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.24% to 7.20, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.02% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 108.29.
