Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 0.91%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 4.11% or 362 points to trade at 9162 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) added 3.88% or 320 points to end at 8575 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was up 1.57% or 6.5 points to 419.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Genmab (CO:GEN), which lost 3.92% or 44.5 points to trade at 1092.0 in late trade. Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) declined 2.68% or 18.2 points to end at 659.8 and Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) shed 1.81% or 12.8 points to 695.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 64 to 48 and 23 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.45% or 1.02 to $69.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.83% or 0.63 to hit $74.92 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 5.30 to trade at $1226.60 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.03% to 6.3650, while EUR/DKK rose 0.05% to 7.4522.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 94.23.
