Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN), which rose 1.09% or 5.1 points to trade at 472.3 at the close. GN Store Nord (CO:GN) added 0.74% or 2.3 points to end at 311.5 and Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) was up 0.62% or 2.7 points to 441.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa), which lost 2.21% or 185 points to trade at 8200 in late trade. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) declined 2.10% or 188 points to end at 8760 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) shed 2.08% or 3.8 points to 179.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 75 to 48 and 16 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.01% or 1.36 to $69.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.40% or 1.01 to hit $73.40 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.50 to trade at $1223.10 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.40% to 6.4166, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4525.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 94.80.
