Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 2.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS), which rose 4.70% or 11.0 points to trade at 245.0 at the close. Genmab (CO:GEN) added 3.83% or 42.0 points to end at 1139.0 and Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) was up 3.81% or 2.30 points to 62.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN), which lost 0.76% or 1.8 points to trade at 236.3 in late trade. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) added 0.71% or 55 points to end at 7770 and Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) gained 1.04% or 3.5 points to 341.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 116 to 31 and 13 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.68% or 1.30 to $49.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.70% or 1.33 to hit $50.50 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.40% or 5.15 to trade at $1289.65 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.26% to 6.5758, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4364.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.57% at 93.76.
