Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Personal & Household Goods and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (COP:CHRH), which rose 6.68% or 21.8 points to trade at 348.3 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems (COP:VWS) added 4.01% or 13.4 points to end at 347.4 and Pandora A/S (COP:PNDORA) was up 3.41% or 24.5 points to 743.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included A.P. Moller - Maersk B (COP:MAERSKb), which lost 2.15% or 260 points to trade at 11860 in late trade. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (COP:MAERSKa) declined 2.04% or 240 points to end at 11510 and TDC A/S (COP:TDC) shed 0.14% or 0.07 points to 49.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 104 to 53 and 4 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 3.16% or 1.88 to $57.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.67% or 1.06 to hit $62.52 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.20% or 2.30 to trade at $1169.50 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.57% to 6.7324, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4612.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.54% at 96.27.
