Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.15% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems (COP:VWS), which rose 2.95% or 8.5 points to trade at 296.4 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (COP:DANSKE) added 1.63% or 3.0 points to end at 186.5 and Novozymes B (COP:NZYMb) was up 1.60% or 5.1 points to 323.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included William Demant Holding (COP:WDH), which lost 2.54% or 15.0 points to trade at 575.0 in late trade. GN Store Nord (COP:GN) declined 1.48% or 2.3 points to end at 152.9 and Genmab (COP:GEN) shed 1.24% or 6.5 points to 516.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 105 to 56 and 3 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 4.94% or 2.35 to $49.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 3.67% or 2.02 to hit $57.13 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.88% or 22.30 to trade at $1205.50 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.41% to 6.9332, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.4713.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.30% at 98.39.
