Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Personal & Household Goods, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.87%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA), which rose 5.93% or 36.0 points to trade at 643.5 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) added 2.76% or 6.9 points to end at 257.3 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) was up 2.49% or 9.4 points to 386.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH), which lost 1.16% or 5.5 points to trade at 468.0 in late trade. Dong Energy A/S (CO:DENERG) declined 0.78% or 2.30 points to end at 291.60 and Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) shed 0.65% or 4.5 points to 691.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 77 to 43 and 20 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.59% or 0.73 to $46.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.37% or 0.67 to hit $49.44 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.53% or 18.96 to trade at $1223.34 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.61% to 6.5465, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4361.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 95.96.
