Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Industrials and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.77%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk B (COP:NOVOb), which rose 2.58% or 9.8 points to trade at 389.1 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (COP:MAERSKb) added 1.22% or 160 points to end at 13260 and Tryg A/S (COP:TRYG) was up 0.66% or 0.9 points to 136.6 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Vestas Wind Systems (COP:VWS), which lost 4.84% or 16.8 points to trade at 330.0 in late trade. GN Store Nord (COP:GN) declined 3.13% or 4.6 points to end at 142.2 and TDC A/S (COP:TDC) shed 2.38% or 1.21 points to 49.59.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 94 to 68 and 6 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.23% or 0.74 to $59.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.58% or 1.03 to hit $64.53 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.15% or 1.80 to trade at $1191.60 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.71% to 6.8358, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4592.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.70% at 97.61.
