Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Technology and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA), which rose 3.34% or 2.05 points to trade at 63.40 at the close. Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) added 2.76% or 7.6 points to end at 283.1 and Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) was up 1.73% or 14.5 points to 855.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ISS A/S (CO:ISS), which lost 2.34% or 6.00 points to trade at 250.70 in late trade. GN Store Nord (CO:GN) declined 2.11% or 2.8 points to end at 129.6 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) shed 1.79% or 7.6 points to 417.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 87 to 63 and 19 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.90% or 0.38 to $41.79 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.94% or 0.42 to hit $44.27 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.11% or 14.00 to trade at $1246.90 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.82% to 6.5926, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4428.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.72% at 94.70.
